Institute of Information Technologies and Learning Tools of NAES of Ukraine (IITLT) was a co-organizer of XV International Scientific Conference “ICT in Education, Research, and Industrial Applications: Integration, Harmonization, and Knowledge Transfer” (ICTERI-2019), which was held on 112-15 June, 2019 at Kherson State University. Among the co-organizers, there were the representatives of universities and IT companies from Australia, Austria, Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Canada, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Romania, France, and Switzerland.
It is worth to mention that over the past 15 years ICTERI has become the traditional scientific and practical international event that brings together scientists, educators, practitioners, developers from different continents and countries interested in the dissemination and exchange of experience in innovative technological developments and achievements, implementation and use of ICT in educational, scientific, industrial sectors.
The defining feature of the conference, making it open to participants from around the world and expand international partnerships is its English language format (since 2010).
The best submissions of the participants are recommended for publication in international journals CEUR-WS and Springer, which are indexed in scientometric databases such as DBLP, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, Scopus, etc.
ICTERI remains the first event of such high level in Ukraine in the field of educational sciences.
While the opening of the conference the participants were presented the history of its occurrence and formation, some quantitative and statistical data. Several sections and a workshop (this workshop reviewed ways to improve the quality of scientific articles), as well as the poster session, which was held this year for the second time. Burov O.Yu., Senior Researcher from IITLT, acted as a head of the “ICT in Education” section within the mainstream conference.
This year the Conference included five international workshops:
1) 4th International Workshop on Professional Retraining and Life-Long Learning using ICT: Person-oriented Approach (3L-Person 2019);
2) 7th International Workshop on Information Technologies in Economic Research (ITER 2019);
3) 3nd International Workshop on Rigorous Methods in Software Engineering (RMSE 2019);
4) 5th International Workshop on Theory of Reliability and Markov Modeling for Information Technologies (TheRMIT 2019);
5) 7th Workshop on Computer Simulation in Education (CoSinE 2019): A Workshop in memory of Professor Illia O. Teplytskyi.
The researches of IITLT acted as initiators and organizers of 3L-Person Workshop: Bykov V., Burov O., Lytvynova S., Nosenko Yu., Pinchuk O., Shyshkina M.P.
For the participation in 3L-Person Workshop, 69 submissions were presented. After the review 19 of them has been accepted for publication and submission to the conference program.
Topics of interest within 3L-Person Workshop included:
- System Models and Methods for Forming Competences.
- Cloud-based Learning Environment.
- Virtual and Smart Technologies, STEM and Robotics.
- ICT in Education and 3L Retraining.
- Learning tools for Research and Forming Competences.
