On April 15, 2025, the II International Scientific Conference “Artificial Intelligence in Science and Education” (AISE 2025) was held. The mission of the event is to highlight the features and directions of application of breakthrough artificial intelligence technologies in scientific research, economics and educational practices. The conference became a platform for stimulating discussions, promoting strengthening cooperation between scientific institutions, higher education institutions and public scientific organisations, and developing innovative solutions in the field of AI for science, economics and education.
Two master classes were held as part of the conference: “Using Generative AI Tools in Scientific and Pedagogical Activities” (presented by Kateryna Osadcha) and “Fundamentals of Using Generative Artificial Intelligence for Developing an AI Application” (presented by Oleksandr Chornyi). The conference was moderated by Anna YATSYSHYN and Maria SHISHKINA (Institute for Digitalisation of Education, National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine). The event began with welcoming remarks and a discussion on “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Education and Science”, which was attended by: Volodymyr LUHOVY (Presidium of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine); Oleg SPIRIN (Institute for Digitalisation of Education, National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine); Oleksandr POPOV (Center for Information, Analytical and Technical Support for Monitoring of Nuclear Energy Facilities, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine); Volodymyr KAMYSHYN and Bohdan AVRAMCHUK (State Institution “Ukrainian Institute of Scientific and Technical Expertise and Information”); Andriy KRASNOZHON and Hanna MUZYCHENKO (State Institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynskyi”); Tetyana VAKALYUK (State University “Zhytomyr Polytechnic”); Vyacheslav OSADCHY (Kyiv Metropolitan University named after Borys Grinchenko); Taras HRYADIL (State University of Aviation and Space “Uzhhorod National University”); Oleksandr BOBARCHUK (State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute”).

- “Using digital and AI tools for assessing and peer-evaluating student work”, Nedyalkova Kateryna, DZ “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky”;
- “Using AI in the process of commercializing scientific research results”, Bondarchuk O., Ogrenych D., Odessa National Economic University;
- “Artificial Intelligence or Hippocrates: Who Owns the Progress of the Future of Medicine? The Art of Treatment and Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence – the New God of Medicine?”, Taras Hryadil, State Higher Educational Institution “Uzhhorod National University”;
- “Applications of artificial intelligence in engineering design”, Kashyrskyy Andriy, Institute for Future Intelligence.
4 breakout sessions were held after the master classes. Conference participants presented their reports and shared practical experience in using various AI services.
Section 1. Artificial Intelligence in Education. Moderators: Maria Shyshkina and Valentina Kovalenko (Institute for Digitalisation of Education, National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine).
Section 2. Artificial Intelligence in Science. Moderators: Andriy Yatsyshyn (Center for Information, Analytical and Technical Support for Monitoring of Nuclear Energy Facilities of the NAS of Ukraine) and Taras Hryadil (Uzhhorod National University).
Section 3. Artificial Intelligence in the Economy. Moderators: Vyacheslav Osadchy (Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University) and Anna Yatsyshyn (Institute for Digitalisation of Education, National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine).
Section 4. Neural Networks and Machine Learning. Moderators: Tetyana Vakalyuk (Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University) and Andriy Tuzhykov (South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky).
During the conference summary, the section moderators outlined the main aspects that were voiced in the participants’ reports and proposed adding several important points to the conference resolution regarding the use of AI in science and education.
Statistical information about the conference: 267 people registered for the conference (expressed interest, were interested in the topic); 217 reports were included in the Conference Program; 170 (+) participants in master classes.
