On May 2, 2025, the Concept of Digital Hygiene for Preschoolers was approved.

An interdepartmental working group worked on the development of the Concept, which included a representative of the Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine – Yulia Nosenko, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Researcher, Head of the Department of Open Educational Environment Technologies.

Among the tasks of the Concept are to create a safe digital infrastructure in kindergartens, prevent the negative consequences of excessive use of gadgets, and form digital literacy in children, educators, and parents.

The implementation of the Concept will help reduce the risks of excessive or unconscious use of digital devices, increase the level of digital literacy of educators and parents, establish control over children’s digital behavior, and better prepare educators to work with technologies in a modern educational environment. At the same time, there is no provision for conducting digital literacy tests for preschool education workers – the emphasis is on supporting and developing their competencies.
