On May 13-14, 2026, Uzhhorod National University became a center for scientific discussions by hosting the 3rd International Scientific Conference “Scientific Horizons of the 21st Century: Multidisciplinary Research.” The event brought together representatives of the academic community from different regions of Ukraine and from abroad.
Among the organizers of this scientific event was the Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine: Anna Іatsyshyn and Valentyna Kovalenko served as members of the organizing committee.
The official opening of the conference began with welcoming remarks delivered by the Vice-Rector for Research of Uzhhorod National University, Ivan Myroniuk, the Head of the Council of Young Scientists of Uzhhorod National University, Tetiana Harapko, and the Head of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Anastasiia Simakhova.
The plenary session was moderated by Taras Hryadil, Deputy Head of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. In his presentation, he addressed a number of critically important issues, including the use of artificial intelligence in science, academic integrity, ethical challenges, and the transformation of the researcher’s role in the era of rapid digitalization.
The conference continued in the format of sectional sessions. One of the sections devoted to pedagogy was chaired by Anna Yatsyshyn, representative of the Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the NAES of Ukraine. Participants had the opportunity to discuss innovative approaches in education, present the results of their own research, and establish interdisciplinary cooperation.
In addition to the intensive scientific program, the organizers also provided cultural activities for the guests. Conference participants visited the Archaeological Museum of Uzhhorod National University and took a guided tour of the historical center of Uzhhorod, becoming acquainted with the cultural and historical heritage of Zakarpattia.
